Volunteering at Langston

Langston High School Continuation Program, located in the Langston-Brown Community Center, is seeking tutors/mentors for our students. Do you have the flexibility and the ability to help our students with English learning? And a willingness to commit tutoring and/or mentoring at least once a week? To become a volunteer, you must complete a three-step application process:

1. Complete the online volunteer application form in Raptor:

Fill out the volunteer application registration links: English and Spanish

2. Complete the mandatory online Safe Schools Sexual Misconduct training.

A link will be sent to you via email once you application has been completed. If you have not received, please reach out to Nicola Farris at nicola.farris@apsva.us

3. Verify vaccination status by uploading your vaccination card in your Raptor application portal

The application process takes approximately a week to complete. Who needs to complete the application and training? This training is required for any volunteer (parent or community member) who regularly supports schools. This includes those who chaperone, help in the classroom, attend field trips, volunteers in other capacity, and includes enrichment providers.
